Targeting Tyler Clementi: Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei commit a Hate Crime. Tyler became the target of a Hate Crime by his new roommate & his roommate's friend. It is very important to remember that this case is not about the suicide of Tyler Clementi but about the crime of spying and distributing images of him and the reason why this crime was committed by Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei. It is in my opinion that this crime would never have occurred if Tyler Clementi were not gay. There is a reason why this country has Hate Crime Legislation and that is to protect people like Tyler Clementi. Based on all the reports of the case I have researched, this is what I believe is to be the timeline of the Tyler Clementi tragedy and why I think this is a Hate Crime and not just Invasion of Privacy. If you go through the tweets and message board postings it is very obvious Tyler had become the target of a Hate Crime by Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei. All sources can easily be found online. These reports are from real news outlets and not gossip blogs. The website/handle Tyler posted to for help has been verified as him and the screenshots are available online. Ravi's twitter account was immediately deleted by his attorney, only the last page was caught by googlecache. The reports of the tweets from Aug were reported by Forbes, Dailymail as reports from "followers" and was also reported by Matt Lauer on the The Today Show and other sources.
